June is an incredible month with so many exciting things happening around the gardens at home and beyond.
We took time to visit the 400 trail to enjoy nature on father's day. We were not dissapointed of course. There is so much to see and enjoy.
This year is especially packed with long lists of activities as we near the second half of the year. I will be working at Quilt Expo in Madison, WI as part of the Ardyth's Sew n Vac Shoppe Team, which I know will be lots and lots of fun and hard work. That is why it's so important to enjoy nature and all that she has to offer, so we are ready for the challenges and the adventures that await us in the fall.
I'm looking forward to completing a few pieces in the meantime to submit to Quilt Expo before month end and I'm hopeful i will meet the deadline. If not, there is always next year!
Spreading the Garden love
As a family we have embarked on another sort of adventure by continuing to plant at the Nanny Park and a larger city garden. We have enjoyed this process and remain grateful for the rain that has kept us away to rest our tired bones. That project will take a few years to see it in all its glory. We remain committed to spreading our love for the edible landscape; the garden will include perennial herbs, strawberries and more.
Here we include the before and after; we got many compliments just by removing the "dead" brush and were rewarded with growth as the old branches were removed.
We look forward to many more years of sharing our love for nature with everyone.
Also managed to get a litte sewing studio time after the days quiet down.
Have a lovely day. Enjoy every second you can :)
